Drift Privacy Policy

Last updated October 13, 2026

Drift is a sleep sounds app made by Graysmith Labs LLC. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: there is no account, and your sleep history stays on your phone.

What stays on your device

Your chosen sounds, timer settings, sleep streak, the nights you used Drift and your reminder time are stored only on your device. We do not run servers that receive this data, and we cannot see it. Deleting the app deletes it.

Sounds

Every sound is bundled inside the app and plays offline. Drift does not use your microphone and does not record anything.

Reminders

Bedtime and trial reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. They are never sent through our servers.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to confirm whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase receipts and basic device information such as the app version and country. You can read the RevenueCat privacy policy.

Advertising

The free version of Drift shows ads from Google AdMob. Before any ad loads, Drift asks for permission to track through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow it, AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to show more relevant ads. If you do not, Drift asks AdMob for non personalized ads only and your advertising identifier is not used. Either way AdMob may collect device information, such as the device model, operating system and approximate location from your IP address, to deliver ads, measure them and prevent fraud. You can change your choice anytime in the Settings app under Privacy and Security, Tracking. You can read how Google uses information from apps that use its services. Drift Premium removes all ads.

Usage analytics

Drift may send a small number of anonymous usage events, such as finishing onboarding, starting a sound, opening the Premium screen and starting a trial, so we can tell which parts of the app help people. These events are tied to a random identifier created on your device, never to your name, email or advertising identifier, and are processed by PostHog. They are not used for advertising or sold.

Children

Drift is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new date.
