Apps and software, built and shipped.
Graysmith Labs is a founder led studio that designs and builds iOS and Android apps, web apps, backends and AI features for companies, and takes them through App Store review and launch. Every project starts with a free scoping call, then a written plan and a fixed quote.
What we build
One studio, every layer.
Hire us for a whole product or the one part you need. You work directly with the engineer doing the work.

One React Native and Expo codebase for both stores, or native Swift where it matters, taken all the way through App Store review and launch.

- Contract
- Embedded
- Any stack
Fixed price app audit
Find out what is holding your app back.
A short review of your app, codebase and App Store listing, priced up front, with a written report of what to fix first. A good first step before any larger project.
- App Review risk. The rules that reject builds in practice, such as prices or a paywall in listing screenshots, placeholder text and incomplete subscription details.
- Subscriptions and paywall. Products, trials and entitlements checked against what the store really offers, and the paywall checked against what the listing promises.
- Ads and privacy. Ad placement against AdMob policy, the tracking prompt, test ad IDs and the App Privacy answers.
- Listing and search. Title, subtitle, keywords and screenshots, with copy you can paste in.
- Code and builds. Dependencies, build setup, crash risks and where AI could save your team time.
How a project runs
A clear path from first call to launch.
You know the cost before any work begins, and you see working builds along the way.
Free scoping call
A conversation about the problem, the users, the timeline and the budget.
Plan and fixed quote
A written plan with a fixed price for a defined build, or a weekly or monthly rate for contract work.
Design and build
Screens you can click through first, then regular builds on your own device through TestFlight or the web.
Launch and care
Store submission and launch, then an optional monthly care plan for updates, fixes and improvements.
Proof
Software we ship and run ourselves.
Alongside client work, the studio builds and publishes its own products, so every recommendation has been tried on live software first.
Drift
Sleep sounds with a fading timer and playback with the screen locked, for iPhone and iPad.
SayBright
Daily affirmations with streaks, widgets and recordings in your own voice.
TubTender
Hot tub water care from test strip colors, with bottle label scanning on device. In App Review now.
Valentine Tide storefront
A brand site and shop for an apparel label: Stripe Checkout, a Cloudflare Worker backend and Printful print on demand fulfillment.
AI visibility system
Every app page carries an llms.txt entry, structured data and an answer first FAQ, and a weekly check asks AI assistants the questions people really ask and turns the gaps into a work list.
Free web tools
Browser tools that bring search traffic to the apps: a hot tub chemical calculator running the app's own engine and a white noise generator.
What does Graysmith Labs build?
iOS and Android apps with React Native and Expo or native Swift, web apps and sites, backends and serverless APIs, and AI features and automation. It also sets up subscriptions with RevenueCat, payments with Stripe and ads with AdMob, and takes apps through App Store review.
How much does an app cost?
It depends on scope, so there are no list prices. After a free scoping call you get a written plan and a fixed quote for a defined build. Contract engineering is billed at a weekly or monthly rate.
What is the fixed price app audit?
A short review of your app, codebase and App Store listing, priced before it starts. It covers App Review risks, subscriptions and the paywall, ads and privacy, the listing and search, and the code and build setup, and ends with a written report of what to fix first.
Can you take over an existing React Native or Expo app?
Yes. Contract engineering is built for that: we join your repos, tools and review process, and an audit is a good first step to see where the app stands.
Who owns the code?
You do. Once the work is paid for, the code, designs and accounts belong to your company, and everything is documented so any engineer can pick it up.
How do I start?
Email ramsey@graysmithlabs.com with what you are building, who it is for and when you need it. The reply sets up the free scoping call.
